Happening about once a month at various venues, these are popular homo parties for both boys and girls. A bit more of an underground scene, the dancing is still a blast.
Blue Monday (Mondays at Vrankrijk)
There's no way you could miss this squatter's cafe, just look at the huge three floor mural that covers the front of the entire building. Definitely an alternative, underground kind of spot, Monday is their queer night with live music and dancing for all gender-benders.

F*cking Pop Queers
Occasional and popular queer dance party that used to happen regularly, but is now more of a one-off event. Check their Myspace page for upcoming dates.
Flirtation Girl Parties
Packing more than a thousand lovely ladies into various venues in and around Amsterdam, Flirtation Girl parties are hot! Check their website or email for dates and info. Their website is in Dutch, but it’s easy to figure out the wheres and whens.
Garbo (First Saturday of the month at Strand West)
This is where you go for an all-around evening. Dinner is served from 5-7 p.m. (reservations needed), followed by drinks and dancing with a happy hour from 7-8 p.m.. The crowd is all over the map from baby dykes to grandmas.

Getto (especially on Tuesday nights)
This one’s more for the boys than girls, but it’s such a great place it’s worth a visit. Getto knows all about fun, from their Monday games night to their Sunday t-dances. Tuesday is women’s night. Besides fabulous cocktails, they also serve food.

These gals have been organizing the occasional one-off dyke nights in Amsterdam since 2002, and pretty much have the recipe down pat, meaning you’ll usually find a good party. Check website for next dates.
Grey Pink (every 1st Wednesday of the month at Paleis van de Weemoed)
A dance party for older, possibly grey haired gays and lesbians. And no late nights here either, as the evening only goes from 6-11 p.m.

In Real Life (every 3rd Sunday of the month (except July and August) at the Crea Café)
Once a month T-dance for the middle-aged lesbian set. The party starts early, about 4ish, and ends at about 9p.m. The music is especially geared for the audience, with hits exclusively from the 60s to the 90s.

Lovely red walls and bar make this hip, loungey spot a pansexual hipster paradise. There used to be a lesbian party on Sunday afternoons, but it doesn't really happen anymore. It's still a nice spot to drop by for a drink though...

Polysexual, anything goes electro/punk party full of glamor, spandex and androgyny. Taking place about once a month in different locations, here's where you'll find all the cool Dutch chicks!
Mix Café
Draws a mixed clientele (hence the name) but in this case mix really does mean equal representation of boys and girls. Your typical bar that gets pretty busy on the weekends.

Only Bitches
So yes, maybe you need a bit of self-confidence to hit these parties that sell themselves as being for "only bitches", but it's worth it. They only come round every couple of months, so check their website for details.
Reality Girlz
Reality Girlz is a new women's bar located right next door to the Reality gay men's bar. Now I don't know anybody who has visited yet (so if you have, please leave us some comments to let us know more about it!), but from what I understand, it's the first lesbian spot in Amsterdam that is catering to women of color. They do have a website, but it's more of a forum where you have to sign up as a member to be able to read anything.

The first incarnation of this pub opened back in 1978, and it was the first lesbian-exclusive bar/pub in Amsterdam. The place was bought out in 1999, re-vamped and re-modeled, and still remains a staple of the local lesbian diet. Very much like an English style pub, there’s lots of food and drink, and it gets especially popular on Friday and Saturday nights.

Trut (Sunday nights only)
This is an Amsterdam original: an underground gay and lesbian disco party organized by volunteers. Nobody makes any money off of Trut, all of the cash they earn goes right back into the place. The parties started in squats years ago, but became so popular that they were able to save enough money to get their own space. Arrive early, because the line-ups can suck.

Vive La Vie
Around for more than a quarter century now, this is another long standing lesbian haunt. A tiny place, it can get pretty quiet during the weeknights but when Friday night rolls around, watch out, the place gets packed! Vive La Vie draws in a regular lipstick crowd, but you’ll see a whole smorgasborg of ladies for all tastes.

Packed Saturdays, too! A good place to start the evening with a drink and wet your eyes with the pretty girls, but no room for dancing!

Definitely packed on Friday nights. People were quite social. The music was a mix of everything. I’d go back again for sure.

Wild Side Play Parties (4th Sunday of every other month at the AVSH (Amsterdam Society for Sexual Reform))
Regular BDSM party offered by the Wild Side girls who have their own social club. All ladies into the scene are welcome.
