Elephantstay
Located just an hour outside of Bangkok, the lesbian-run Elephantstay is an Elephant sanctuary/ non-profit organization aimed at protecting the species. “The program involves living with, caring for and learning about elephants. Your elephant will be relying on you to take care of them and show them the love they deserve and we will show you how. You will learn all the basics of being a mahout, riding, feeding, watering and even bathing elephants in the river.” You can stay for a single day or up to two weeks.
YogaSense
Bangkok is a big, busy, noisy, and fairly dirty city (but still an amazing city all the same!!) But it is possible to find some respite from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok at YogaSense. This woman-owned yoga studio offers all of its courses in English only, which is great for visitors who don't speak Thai. The clientele is mainly women, with more lesbians dropping by on Wednesdays. And yes, it is located in a building that is mainly used as a dental clinic.
