Ackerkeller
You’ve gotta admit it, the Berlin scene is very cool, and Ackerkeller is a prime example. Here’s what they say about themselves on their website: “The Ackerkeller is an alternative, non-profit gay-lesbian club in Berlin-Mitte. Doors are open on Tuesdays and Fridays and occasionally on Saturdays from 10pm on. Our aim is to provide free space to gather together in a relaxed way and to have excessive parties without being pressurized by economical exploitation. As a novelty, we now also provide a pub/cafe on six days per week from 7pm on.” Their website has some English info.

L'Ectro (usually at Bar Waldohreule)
For all the ladies who live for electro music! Tired of going to electronica nights and seeing almost no lesbians, or going to lesbian nights and hearing no electronica, these ladies decided to take things into their own hands with this party. Come on down and get your dance on! Check their Myspace page for upcoming dates.

L-Tunes Party (last Friday of the month at SchwuZ)
Like SO36, there are different kinds of music played at SchwuZ every night, including a regular (and very popular!!) ladies night, the L-Tunes party, brought to you by local dyke party promoters, Megadyke Productions. The girls take over the basement club area, which is appropriate for this “underground” party.

La Moustache
La Moustache calls themselves "a small bunch of people organizing queer/feminist/diy gigs" around Berlin, sort of in the Queer-O-Matic style (see below). Mustaches are always appreciated at any of their events. Check their website for upcoming events.
Margie’s Frauenbar
This is the latest women’s bar opened by the owner of the former Pour Elle, which for many years was a Berlin lesbian institution (in fact, it’s still often listed in a number of guides, but it’s totally closed now.) Nice spot for an after work or early evening drink.

Mermaids
This is one of the coolest occasional parties you'll find in Berlin. Mermaids plays true to its name and actually takes place on an island called Insel der Jugend in the Spree river that runs through Berlin. These gals organise shuttles that pick partyers up in designated spots and then take them to the party. Those who swim get in for free! Most of the events take place in the summer months, but check their website for dates and details.
Milkshake parties
Occasional electro/techno/minimal/rave dyke party. As always, check the websites for details.
Nah Bar (aka Neue Bar)
Small lesbian pub in the heart of Charlottenberg. Nice spot for an after-work or pre-party drink. Wednesdays are pretty popular for their Vinyl Lounge events when all of your favorite albums from the 1980s are brought back to life.

Open Zoo parties
"Open Zoo is full of different species according to Berlin's nightlife people: exotic and colorful. As well as the music, it goes from 60s garage rock to dirty electrobeats and back. Expect the unexpected, every time, as a trip through the jungle. It is open for every kind of animals, except homophobic and racists. There is just one rule to follow in this jungle: Respect the other animals and, if you want, you can feed them... Welcome to OPEN ZOO!!!" Open Zoo parties happen once every month or two. Check their Myspace page for details.
Poopsy Club (monthly at various venues)
Yes, the name may not be the most appetizing, but the party itself is a total dykecore bonanza. This monthly event brings in some of the most notable women on the underground dyke music circuit from Lesbians on Ecstasy to Angie Reed to Miss Le Bomb to Riots Not Diets. Mixed in with live performances are DJ sets from Noisy Pig, A. One and Double Agent. Check their Myspace page for upcoming events.
Queer-O-Matik parties (every couple weeks at different venues)
Sometimes on a Thursday night, sometimes a Friday, Queer-O-Matik draws in the girls (and some boys) looking for an unpretentious, non-mainstream homo celebration. Lately the party has been held at the XB, a queer/lesbian/trans housing project, but you should always check first, just in case.
rats! rats! rats!
A new, occasional girls-only party happening at the very cool Ackerkeller (see above). Basically this is a rock'n'roll party for all the cool dykes. This party usually takes place every couple of months on the first Saturday, but check their Myspace page to confirm. Yes, it's in German, but if you take a minute or two to think about it, you should totally be able to figure out the dates.

Roses Bar
Can we say kitsch? Roses takes glitter, sparkle and flash to new heights, but for some reason it works. This may be a tiny spot, but it’s hugely (and equally) popular with both gay men and lesbians, something you don’t see too often. Bartenders are also quite liberal with the booze, which is another bonus.

Yet another popular, mixed queer, underground party in Berlin. This one is hosted by a gay man, but he brings in tons of lesbian DJs and performers and this is definitely an equal opportunity party. Check the website for upcoming locations.
Serene Bar (every Thursday and Saturday)
Cool, hip space that is mixed, but very popular with the girls on Thursday nights and becomes exclusively lesbian on Saturdays.

I went to this bar on a Saturday night in Oct, 2005. I liked the decor - red walls and there were a lot of B&W female nude photos everywhere. The women were attractive. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the music, maybe it was just an off night.

Sharon Stonewall
Oh, I bet Sharon Stone must be thrilled to know she’s inspirational enough to the ladies that a dyke bar is named in her honor. And how many times do we have to watch her pinching the ass of some starlet on the red carpet to know she has some kind of thing for us? This stylish, little Aussie-run bar is probably the most popular dyke lounge in Berlin. The ladies flock here on Wednesday nights when there are few lesbian parties in town, and often return on Fridays for the Girl Savoir Vivre parties.
Linienstrasse 136
Berlin
SO36
This legendary club is named after the former postal code for the east part of Kreuzberg. It’s a very popular mixed gay bar for both men and women, with different (and somewhat alternative) theme nights throughout the week. You'll often find live performances happening in the early part of the evening and parties here can often go quite late.
