Restaurants & Cafes
Bella Luna
Located upstairs from the Milky Way lounge, Bella Luna is a great place to start the evening if you’re heading downstairs for a hipster show or bowling afterwards. Many Italian dishes on the menu.
405 Centre St.
Jamaica Plain
Bloc 11
From the same team that brought us the wonderful Diesel Cafe (see below), the lesbian-owned Bloc 11 follows a similar path, but in slightly smarter surroundings. While Diesel is grittier and slightly more underground, Bloc 11 serves the exact same food in a more design-inspired environment. Partially built in a former bank, there's even a hidden dining room in the back vault! Order your meal (soups and sandwiches) at the counter, wait for them to call your name with your food, then choose a table and enjoy!
11 Bow St.
Somerville
Blue Shirt Café
If you’re looking for a veggie fix, Blue Shirt can help. Nice little spot serving up yummy breakfasts, smoothies and great wraps. Not too expensive either. The place is pretty small, but in summer time they add a few tables outdoors.
424 Highland Ave.
Somerville
City Girl Café
Popular women-owned café serving delish pizzas, paninis and more. This is a tiny space, so you may end up waiting for a table or taking your food to go.
204 Hampshire St.
Cambridge
Diesel Café
Lesbian-owned café that's super-popular with the queer girls, especially of the alternative school. Diesel gets high marks for their coffee and vegan treats. This place is deceptively large and even boasts a pool table.
257 Elm St.
Somerville
Francesca’s Espresso Bar
Popular South End café that is pretty much an institution in gay Boston. All day breakfasts, light meals and good coffee keep the place busy with both bent boys and girls.
564 Tremont St.

J.P. Licks
A favorite with the local ladies (especially with a name like that!) and all queers, J.P. Licks is a great spot for ice cream in Jamaica Plain.
659 Centre St.
Jamaica Plain
June Bug Café
Another lesbian-owned café much appreciated by the gals in Jamaica Plain. Sandwiches and desserts are super-popular, but some say it takes a bit toooo long to get served. Free wifi makes up for that.
403 Centre St.
Boston
Trident Booksellers & Café
For both book lovers and food lovers, the Trident is a wonderful match. As an independent bookseller, Trident offers a nice collection of LGBT works. On the café side, you’ve got all of the basics and now even a dinner menu. Voted Boston's Best Independent Bookstore by the Improper Bostonian.
338 Newbury St.
Boston
True Grounds Café
Great coffee shop with more than just the java. Art shows, musical performances and home baked treats make this a popular spot for all, including a regular lesbian clientele.
717 Broadway

Veggie Planet
With a name like that one, you know the ladies will be stopping by. To boot, "in addition to using only vegetarian ingredients, we also support local farmers, purchase organic ingredients when affordable, use organic dough from a nonprofit bakery doubling as a homeless service provider, and donate a percentage of our profits to other organizations working for social and/or evironmental change." Veggie Planet is actually located in Club Passim, meaning you'll also enjoy some great live music with your meal in the evening.
