Keshet
Hebrew for rainbow, “Keshet seeks to create a fully welcoming and inclusive Jewish community for LGBT Jews in Greater Boston. Keshet also creates opportunities for GLBT Jews to come together, celebrate, and explore our Jewish identities.”
Lesbian Chat
"Lively, intelligent, topical discussion (e.g. relationships, feminism, pop culture, etc.) - we vote to select our topic for the evening. Couples & singles welcome. Meets in the comfy "Living Room" of the Cambridge Women's Center the first two Fridays of every month (except major holidays). Afterwards, interested participants walk to a local restaurant for a bite - and more conversation. It's a wonderful way to meet and get to know new women!"
MadFemmePride
This lesbian social meet-up group has exploded in popularity since launching in 2005. They now have more than 2000 (!) members and host all kinds of different events. Guests are always welcome.
Masala
“MASALA aims to reach out to and provide a safe and supportive social environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals who identify themselves as South Asian.”
MOB New England
Women-only BDSM group that “offers social and play events, educational demos, and informal opportunities to socialize, have fun and build a sense of community. We claim as positive forces in our lives our many and varied interests in kink, bondage, domination and submission, sadomasochism, leather and perversion.” Ummmm…I think that kinda sums it all up.
New England Dungeon Society
If MOB isn’t enough, this society is a pansexual playgroup for those enjoying the alternative side of kink.
New England Leather Alliance
“NELA is a pansexual organization dedicated to making a safe place in the world for all leather/fetish/SM people. We host local events every month such as classes and outings, produce the semi-annual Fetish Fair Fleamarket and more.”
Queer Asian Pacific-Islander Alliance
“Founded in 1979, QAPA, formerly AMALGM, is the oldest Asian queer organization in the United States. QAPA is committed to providing a supportive social, political, and educational environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning people of Asian and Pacific Islander heritage in the Boston area.”
Queer Women of Color Boston
QWOC is a group dedicated to creating a truly diverse social space for LGBTQ women of color in the Greater Boston area. They're known mainly for their quarterly social networking events that draw out members of all ages, ethnic backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations.
Somos Latin@s LGBT Coalition of Massachusetts
Social/support group for the LGBT Latino/a population in and around Boston. They hold monthly networking and social events and organize the annual Latin Pride celebrations held in May.
The Boston/Jamaica Plain Gay Women's Meet-Up Group
“Our hope is to create more community for gay women in the Boston Area, especially for women who have recently moved here... or who have recently come out. Also, to help change the story that it is so hard to meet people in Boston.” Looks like they’re doing a good job of it with bi-weekly meetings and almost 500 members.
Women Over 40 at Geoffrey's (2nd Thursday of the month at Geoffrey's Cafe)
"Arrive anytime after 6, there's free parking, good food and drinks, and great company! Each month we feature a signature cocktail." A social evening, especially for women who are 40+.
