Center on Halsted
Chicago’s brand spankin’ new $20 million LGBT community centre opened April 30th, 2007, and what a centre it is! Home not only to a number of social and recreation groups, the Center also has a Whole Foods grocery store, a theatre, party space, a café, a gymnasium (named after Billie Jean King) and provides tourist info for LGBT visitors to the Windy City to boot. Whew! Wednesday nights are ladies nights with a whole slew of options just for us gals starting as of 5 p.m. The $10 entrance fee gets you food, open bar and admission to whatever event they're hosting that evening. It's not a late night though... at 10 p.m. you're out the door.

The L-Blog
Here's a great site from the Chicago Now folks highlighting everything of interest in lesbian Chicago. Penned by AfterEllen scribe Trish Bendix (who also does her own Girlfriend is a Homo blog), this is a fantastic reference, especially for one-off event info that you won't easily find elsewhere.
