Front Runners Fort Lauderdale
Here's the south Florida edition of the international LGBT running/jogging club. This group meets twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, and guests are always welcome.
Hammerhead Aquatics
Ft. Lauderdale's Master's level gay and lesbian swim association. They hold practices 9 times a week and newbies/visitors are welcome.
Iron Maidens Rugby
"A full-contact, full-tackle women’s rugby team, associated with the Fort Lauderdale Rugby Football Club." While this isn't an officially "lesbian" sports association in any way, about half the gals on the team play on our side. This was voted the best team for lesbian jocks in the 2008 "Best of Gay South Florida" rankings.
South Florida Amateur Athletics Association
Even though there's nothing queer sounding about the SFAAA title, this is the main local gay and lesbian softball league. It is hugely popular with local lesbians and you’ll find tons of women cheering them on during their Sunday afternoon games.
South Florida Tennis Club
Based out of Ft. Lauderdale, this is one of the biggest gay and lesbian tennis associations in the United States.
Thursday GLO Softball League
A gay and lesbian softball league that plays every Thursday night during their spring or fall seasons.
