Bars, Nights & Clubs
Brazos River Bottom
Houston’s gay country and western dance bar. Don’t know how to two-step? They offer classes every Thursday night. This is mainly a men’s bar, but there are some women regulars as well.

Chances
Who ever would have thought it possible that one of the biggest lesbian bars in the world would be found in Houston, Texas? Not me. Chances says it is the biggest on the planet, but I’d have to compare with Candy Bar in London or Le Drugstore in Montreal to see if that's true. No matter what, you’ll find tons of girls here. Chances is actually made up of four separate bars, each catering to a different crowd: the original Chances bar for a drink and some music; Chance’s G-Spot for the dancing; New Barn Saloon for all you country/western fans and the Chi-Chi Martini bar for sophisticated ladies.

Ladies Night (Saturdays at Bartini)
Generally a gay boy bar, Bartini invite the ladies in for a ride on Saturday nights. This two-level space with its’ wicked staircase houses a dance club downstairs and lounge upstairs

Les Femmes de la Nuit (3rd Friday of the month at Dean’s Credit Clothing)
O.K. I’ve got a couple of things to clear up here. Despite its charming name, Les Femmes de la Nuit is not a lesbian party. It is, however, a monthly all-female DJ rendezvous. And yes, Dean’s Credit Clothing does sell clothes (that would be vintage garments), but is also a hipster lounge/club space at the same time. So if you’re looking for a break from the dance and hip hop music you may want to check this party out. It appears there are more and more queers dropping by for this monthly event.

Passionate Sundays (2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at Bartini)
Seems like the Saturday Ladies Night parties were successful enough to warrant even more girl time at Bartini. They now have this twice-monthly dyke night to end out the weekend.

Not necessarily a dyke night, this lesbian run weekly party is a pansexual event, for the entire LGBT community.
