Other Fun Stuff
Bikram’s Yoga Key West
If you’re a yoga fan who likes to keep your routine, even on vacation, Bikram’s can help. This lesbian-owned and run centre offers several classes a day, which are open to all. No membership is required, just pay a fee for each class.

Danger Charters
Very gay-friendly charter boat excursions. Their sunset sail is especially nice with all-you can drink wine and beer (and they have a fabulous variety of the vino!) along with fruits, cheeses and chocolates. This excursion is especially nice since it is a smaller and more intimate group on board, compared to some of the other bigger charter companies.
Elizabeth Taylor beach
No, this isn’t the real name of the beach, but it is how flamboyant locals refer to it. It’s the main beach and picnic area of Fort Zachary Taylor State Park, located in the historic old town. A great place for a brown bag lunch, sunbathing and some swimming, it’s popular with the local gay (and sometimes lesbian) population.

Fury Water Adventures
Every Wednesday, Fury offers its “Gay and Lesbian Ultimate Adventure”, a day-long boat ride with sunbathing, snorkeling, parasailing, jet skiing and kayaking.
Historic Gay & Lesbian Trolley Tour (Saturdays at 10:45 a.m.)
I’ll admit it, I’m a sucker for historic gay and lesbian tours. I try to take them in any city where they’re offered because they provide such a wealth of interesting and entertaining gay and lesbian history. This trolley tour is a perfect example. The charming Miss Vee provides a hilarious running commentary throughout, worthy of any queer event. Over the 70-minute visit you hear about all of the hot spots and characters that have made Key West so colorful, from the homes of Tennessee Willliams to gossip about Hemmingway’s wife having lesbian affairs.

Key West Symphony
How often does one get to hear a professional, world-renowned orchestra led by a lesbian? Make that a Cuban-American lesbian? Not too often, so you should make an effort to catch a performance by the Key West Symphony. Founded by out lesbian and conductor Sebrina Maria Alfonso (who wears a snappy tuxedo while she holds her baton on the podium), the Key West Symphony regularly sells out their local performances.
Red Barn Theatre
A small, intimate theatre that offers just a little bit of everything… from drama to comedies, musicals and cabaret. While not expressly gay and lesbian, they often present works of interest to the community.
