Agave
If you’re ready to take a break from the crowds of tourists on the strip, Mexican themed Agave is the perfect antidote. Margaritas are a must here, as is the portobello tamale appetizer and rock shrimp tacos. To boot, it’s beautifully decorated and worth the visit.

Bayside Buffet (at Mandalay Bay)
If you’re in Vegas for any extended period of time, you’ll likely be tempted by one of their all-you-can-eat buffets. They’re quick and easy, not too expensive and of course, all-you-can eat. But there’s quite a variety in the quality of the various buffets, and this one at the Mandalay Bay is one of the best. The king crab legs are a total fave with seafood fans, and if you’ve still got room at the end of your meal, they’ve got a fabulous dessert selection.

Border Grill (at Mandalay Bay)
High-end Mexican cuisine brought to you by lesbian chef Susan Feniger and her "Too Hot Tamales" TV show co-presenter, Mary Sue Milliken. The mojitos are a must with any plate, but especially with Feniger’s signature tamales. The outdoor patio overlooking the pool is especially lovely in the spring and autumn when Vegas has its perfect temperatures.

Cathouse (at the Luxor)
With the recent renovations at Luxor comes the addition of this new spot that’s taken the strip by storm. Starting as a restaurant, then transitioning to a lounge later in the evening, Cathouse is a high-end, sensual experience to discover. Going for a French bordello feel, there are performers/models changing nearby, crushed velvet booths and photos of 19th century ladies of the evening on the walls. Definitely a grown-up dinner.

I heart the Cathouse! great food, great décor, cute girls! what more could a girl ask for? I think the bathroom is the best part - you have your bathroom attendee and all the perfume, gum, hairspray a girl could want. Oh, and the gourmet cotton candy they served for dessert was playful and yummy...

Red Mango
Mmmm…. fro yo. Located just across the street from the Hard Rock, Red Mango is the place to go if you’re looking for a healthy snack. This frozen yogurt is all natural, fat free and totally delicious. It comes in two flavors: natural or green tea, and you can finish it off with a choice of toppings.

Sensi (at the Bellagio)
Excellent, high-end cuisine in a slightly laid back environment, this is where I had one of my best meals in Vegas. Mixing Italian, Asian, American and seafood cuisine, there’s a little bit of something for everyone. My favorite was their kobe steak, and the deserts are to die for. I especially appreciated the little “thank-you” box they give you to go at the end of the meal with small cookies and chocolates for a late-night snack.

yummy! I had some kind of grilled white fish with a-never-seen-before ginger foam on top - really decadent.
