Wise Words
Mar 1 - Mar 15, 2010
An excellent literature festival celebrating women’s writing. Dozens of high calibre authors participate in their panel discussions and readings and many of them are lesbian. Add in dinners, concerts and parties (Lea Delaria performed in 2007) and you’ve got an excellent week of brainy fun.
Tongues on Fire: Asian Women Film Festival
Mar 4 - Mar 14, 2010
Quite the sexy name for this fest that started off exclusively highlighting the work of Asian women, but now also includes other arthouse Indian flicks as well. Most years have at least one or two queer films.
Winter Pride
Early Mar, 2010 (TBC)
While there are a couple of events in London, the actual Winter Pride festivities take place in the popular beach town of Brighton, about sixty miles from London (and so gay it’s often called Soho-by-the-sea.) It’s easy to access through public transportation, and well worth the visit.
London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival
Mar 17 - Mar 31, 2010
LLGFF was founded back in 1986 and is now the third largest film festival in the U.K.! What I appreciate even more is that this is a touring festival, with each year’s program visiting about forty towns and cities… meaning that even small town queers get to see the latest LGBT flicks. The London leg of the festival takes place in March, with the touring continuing from May through September.
The Dirty Red Ball
Mar 27, 2010
Considered the most glamorous and sexy dyke party of the year, the annual Dirty Red Ball is not to be missed. Hosted in some of the most luxurious London locales, ladies are actively encouraged to dress up for this evening. A true extravaganza, expect live acts, fashion shows, acrobats, dancers and much more.
York Lesbian Arts Festival
Apr, 2010 (TBC)
b.supreme
Apr 2 - Apr 4, 2010
The U.K.'s one and only festival for women in hip hop. This is not a lesbian event per se, but you will find a strong lesbian contingent here. b.supreme is three days of international performances, battles, live all DJ sets and DJ clinics, workshops, film screenings, discussion panels, and live music artists.
London Burlesque Week
Apr 20 - Apr 25, 2010
Launched in 2007, this amazing burlesque extravaganza has become a huge success, and with success, comes growth. For the first few years this was a 3 or 4 day event, but in 2010, organizers are going all-out to create a full Burlesque Week!
Hackney Women's Football Club five-a-side Tournament
Early May, 2010 (TBA)
This is the largest women's five-a-side tournament in the U.K. and a good majority of these players are lesbian. All funds raised will go directly to the HIV charity Crusaid.

Early Jun, 2010 (TBA)
A (generally) straight tango festival that will is reaching out to the queer tango community as well. A mix of performance, master classes and competition.
London Pride
Jun 18 - Jul 4, 2010
One of the most exciting pride events in Europe, with almost a million people in attendance! The two week festival offers a little bit of everything: performance, clubbing, politics and a fantastic parade. Keep your eyes peeled for the special lesbian events by checking out the Pride London Women Myspace page below.
Vibration

Soho Pride
Mid-Aug, 2010(TBA)
The gayest of London’s gay neighbourhoods hosts its own annual Gay Pride party in August. It’s a one day affair with live music, dancing in the streets, drinking and all round joviality. The crew took a break from hosting the event in 2009, but promise to be back in 2010. We'll have to wait and see if it really happens....
UK Black Pride
Mid-Aug, 2010 (TBA)
Calling itself the "official Black Pride" of London, this event went almost head to head with the Outburst Black LGBTQ pride a week earlier in 2008. For 2009, Outburst moved its' date to June, so now this Black Pride event can take place without the extra competition.
BiCon UK
Aug 26- Aug 30, 2010
“BiCon is the UK National Bisexual Convention, a fun weekend-long festival for bisexual people and their allies, held at a different location in the UK each year. During the days there is a programme of discussions, talks, workshops and events to run alongside these such as film showings, treasure hunts, games and competitions. In the evenings there is entertainment and dancing.”
Polyday
Late Sep, 2010 (TBA)
Annual one-day event for all practitioners of the polyamorous lifestyle. The first event took place in 2006 and it's still relatively underground with only a few hundred participants.
