Archives Gaies du Quebec
The Quebec gay and lesbian archives is home to thousands of documents relating to the history of gay and lesbian life in the province. One of their highlights for the general public is an exhibit examining gay issues dating back almost four hundred years. Find out about 17th century soldiers arrested for sodomy and a lesbian WW2 factory worker who married a woman to get a pay increase! This exhibit is in French and can even be viewed online. The archives are open to the public by appointment on Thursday nights from 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Ask the Geek Productions
This lesbian-run company is all about promoting queer artists in Montreal, be they visual, performance, music, dance or more. Sometimes they even host queer parties on their own. They do a lot of great stuff and promote artists who we often don't hear about, but who produce some excellent material. A quick look at their calendar is well worth your time before a visit to Montreal.
Club Bolo
Montreal’s line and country dancing organization. They used to have their own club, but now they just hold dances on the weekend at the local LGBT Community Centre. It's mostly gay men, but there are a number of lesbian regulars and women are always welcome.
Dead Doll Dancers
A popular 8-woman burlesque troupe, "the Dead Dolls offer a delectably lurid treat for everyone from the not-so-queer to the queerest of the queer. Specializing in raucous on-stage orgies, energetic group choreographies, whipping, scratching and humping, their deliciously distasteful debauchery is sure to excite and amaze."

Sunday Tam Tams at Mount Royal Park
Nobody really knows how this drumming celebration at Mount Royal Park began, but now it is one of the best known summer events in the city. "Tam tam" is the French word for hand drums like African djembes, and every Sunday afternoon hundreds of people show up with their tam tams and improvise together for hours on end. Hundreds more drop by to enjoy the entertainment, dance and appreciate the wafting aroma of marijuana that always seems to be overhead. As you can imagine, it's lesbians galore here every week.
At the eastern base of Mount Royal by the Sir George-Étienne Cartier statue, right across the street from Jeanne-Mance park.
