What’s good about this weekly LGBT mag is that they really do make a focus of news, not only in the NYC area, but around the world. Their website is also pretty informative for updated news, as compared to updated club listings.
Go Magazine
This should be the first thing you pick up when you arrive in New York City. Go Mag is a free monthly just for lesbians and bisexual women. Here you’ll find the skinny on all of the latest dyke events in town and much more. If you arrive later in the month though, you may have problems finding copies as they go quickly.
Time Out New York
A general New York arts and culture magazine that does some great coverage of the gay and lesbian community. Every week they have a special LGBT overview of what’s coming up, day by day, and they’re kind enough to indicate what’s for the girls with a little pink triangle (and a little blue one for the boys). Lots of great homo info from them online as well.
