IdentiT (Paris Trans Film Festival)

2008 was the first edition of this Parisian trans film festival, highlighting films that touch the transgendered community, and we've been promised they'll be back again in 2009. Most of the films presented have never been seen in France before, and many of them are in their original English versions.
International Women's Film Festival

This renowned women’s film festival, held in the Paris suburb of Créteil, will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2008. Considered one of the most important, if not the most important women’s film festival in the world, this fest shows some of the best work by women directors out there. Many of the films are in English, as is their website. A do not miss event.
Le Printemps des Assoces

Loosely translated to mean “the springtime of associations” this annual two-day event brings together more than one hundred LGBT associations from across France for a public meet’n’greet.
Festigay

This will be the third edition of Festigay, the Paris LGBT theatre festival. It's an ambitious event with 40+ presentations of 10 plays over 10 days.
Les Femmes S’en Mêlent

A travelling women’s music festival, and these gals know how to rock! It's a full month of indie, rock and pop music by an eclectic range of women from around the world. The party starts in Paris for about the first ten days, then hits other parts of France before heading off to Belgium, Spain and elsewhere in Europe.

Tournoi International de Paris

Every year, the city of Paris hosts this international LGBT sporting event, which draws upwards of 2500 people, not only from France, but around the world. Participants take part in about 20 sports including golf, volleyball, rugby, basketball and more. And hey, their entire website is available in English!

Hundreds of thousands of people swarm Paris for its annual pride parade. Considered one of the biggest parties of the year in France, there are usually a number of events just for the girls, as part of their “fierté lesbienne” celebrations.
Femmes en résistance film festival

Not satisfied with having both a women’s film festival and a lesbian film festival, the Parisian ladies have also come up with the Women’s Resistance film festival. Exclusively presenting feminist documentaries, the festival tackles a new subject every year, from "Women in Resistance to the feminine ideal" to “Women’s Resistance to War”.
Paris Lesbian and Feminist Film Festival
Early Nov, 2009 (TBA)
Founded back in 1989 by a group of lesbian film afficianados called themselves Cineffable, this festival now attracts several thousand women each year during the five-day event. A completely volunteer run production by women who love film, ticket prices are still the same today as they were back in 1992!

This is Paris’ big, week-long LGBT film fest taking place every November. There are many films in English and check out their special evenings just for us bent girls.
