Sports Associations
A Pas de Geant
Loosely translated to “giant steps” this LGBT organization is for those of you who enjoy hiking, walking, exploring, just getting out and having fun. Generally speaking one is supposed to be a member to participate, but people are allowed to try it out first before joining. Check their website for events and reserve.
AcroBAD
Badminton is so popular with gays and lesbians in Paris that they actually have two separate clubs, this one and Goodminton (see below).
Black Knights Paris Softball Club
Paris' gay and lesbian softball league. Incredibly enough, they play year-round with indoor facilities during the winter months.
Cercle du Marais
LGBT swimming club in the heart of homo central, le Marais. Visitors are allowed three free visits before they must join. Check website for location and times.
Frontrunners
The Parisian arm of the international running/jogging/walking club. About one hundred runners show up for their four weekly outings. Visitors are not only welcome, they’re encouraged and invited to participate. Check out their English link for more info.
FSGL (Fédération Sportive Gaie et Lesbienne)
The gay and lesbian sports federation regroups approximately 25 LGBT sports teams in Paris. Of their more than 2500 members, about half are women. If you’re looking for lesbians doing everything from horse riding to volleyball to body building and basketball, you’ll find it here.
Golf Friendly
For all of you who think Dinah Shore really is about golfing! Golf Friendly is an LGBT golfing club run by the ladies. Regular golf outings in and around Paris, and guests are welcome! Check the website for details and always, always, always reserve your spot.
Goodminton
A very cute name for one of the two gay and lesbian badminton clubs in Paris (the other would be AcroBAD, see above).
Les Bénines d’Apie
Lesbian walking group based in Paris. They organize outings every Sunday afternoon and all are welcome. If you’d like to join an outing, make sure to contact them ahead of time so they are able to welcome you. Their website is available in English.
Les Derailleurs
Here’s your chance to see Paris and France up close and personal on two wheels. Les Derailleurs cycling club holds regular rides around the city and the countryside, as well as organizing huge jaunts across the country and elsewhere in Europe. Visitors are welcome and some of their website is available in English.
Les Petits Frappes
The local LGBT squash club, that's unfortunately pretty heavy on the "G". The group plays three times a week with players of all levels.
Paris Aquatique
LGBT swimming club affiliated with International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics Association (IGLA). If you’re a member of another IGLA team from anywhere else in the world, you are most welcome to come train with the local Paris team. Website available in English.
