Barrio Café
I can’t rave enough about this lesbian-owned and operated Mexican restaurant. With slightly upscale cuisine, it’s always packed... and they don't take reservations. Go for a mojito and the guacamole that is made for you at your table by the verrrrry cute servers. The homemade churros are also a perfect way to end the meal.

Café Boa
Located in Tempe’s beautiful Mill Avenue District, Café Boa is a charming, bistro/wine bar with interesting takes on Mediterranean cuisine. They’ve won tons of awards, have a great outdoor terrace and are very queer-friendly. (well, with a name like that, how couldn't they be!) You’ll usually find a few gay or lesbian couples enjoying a nice, romantic dinner here.

Copper Star Café
This totally cool café in the heart of the Melrose district sits in a converted gas station, with the pumps still standing idly outside. Great coffee and treats, as well as free wifi! Going for the hipster feel, there’s also cool art, interesting bathroom doors and comfy couches.

Essence Bakery Café
Chef-owner Eugenia Theodosopoulos is catering to the environmentally-conscious crowd at Essence. Her meats are organic, fruits and vegetables are locally grown and to boot, the food tastes great. The building itself is also green: counter tops made from recycled goods, biodegradable flooring, menus printed on recycled paper and much more.

Fez
I was amazed at how many lesbian couples and groups I saw enjoying a late dinner or early evening cocktail at this hip, urban spot. Great décor, serving classic American cuisine with a Mediterranean twist.

Green Restaurant
The name says pretty much everything this resto is about: going green. Serving vegetarian-vegan versions of American classics and comfort foods such as po-boy sandwiches, burgers and pizza, the restaurant uses only organic produce. Chef Damon Brasch even blends his vegan soft-serve ice cream daily.

Ticoz
Hipster joint serving Spanish, Mexican and American cuisine. Tacos, burgers and cocktails are on the menu and its location makes it a great place to start your evening.

Zest
Very gay-popular spot, Zest is a great restaurant for a date or intimate get-together. The menu stays fairly traditional (filet mignon, catfish gumbo, lamb shank etc.), but does it well.
