Events
Single Women's Weekend
Mid-May, 2010 (TBA)
This is a newer event that started in 2007, but has proved to be a success. Whether you’re a lonelyheart lesbian searching for your true love or a party animal who wants to get down, this weekend is for you, single ladies.
Memorial Day Weekend Women's Party Cruise
Late May, 2010 (TBA)
Launched for the first time in 2009, this is a fun women's event for Memorial Day that's expected to become an annual event.
Women of Color and Allies Weekend
Early Jun, 2010 (TBA)
Another newbie Provincetown dyke event that started up in 2007, these gals are doing it all. From cocktail receptions to dance parties, comedy shows, special group lunches and dinners at local restaurants, networking events, “speed friending” and other more.
New England International Erotic Arts Festival
Early Jun, 2010 (TBA)
Seeing as this is taking place in Provincetown, there's an extremely queer bent to all of the erotica shown here. Highlights of this annual event include the erotic films screening, erotic fashion show and closing erotic ball.
Provincetown International Film Festival
Mid-Jun, 2010 (TBA)
Now this isn’t officially an LGBT film festival, but seeing as this is Provincetown, about half of the films shown are queer themed.
Golden Threads
Late Jun, 2010 (TBA)
An exceptional celebration for older lesbians (usually 50+ years old, but all are welcome.) More than two hundred lovely ladies enjoy music, workshops, dancing, dining and more. For singles and couples, the White Hat Ladies are always on hand to welcome new arrivals.
Girl Splash
Late Jul, 2010 (TBA)
Provincetown is, without a doubt, the city with the most women's events.... and I'm talking around the world! Not only do they have their women's week in October, but they also have a women of color weekend and single women's weekend and in 2008 they added this fourth women's event, Girl Splash. Called the "first women's beach extravaganza in Provincetown," there will be pool parties, clam bakes, yacht sails, volleyball, sunset dune tours and much more.
Family Week
Early Aug, 2010 (TBA)
What used to be known as Family Pride Coalitions' Family Week is now referred to simply as Family Week. Here’s your chance to have a week-long getaway with the kids, knowing that the little ones will be able to enjoy themselves with families just like theirs. With different events and parties scheduled every day for toddlers, kids, teens and their parents, this is an amazing opportunity to celebrate your family. Presented in co-operation with R Family Vacations.
Carnival
Mid-Aug, 2010 (TBA)
Now pretty much every week is gay pride week in P’town, but that doesn’t stop them from throwing their annual Carnival celebrations, including a parade. Lots of dress up events and dancing!
Provincetown Women's Week
Mid-Oct, 2010 (TBA)
Provincetown is pretty and lovely and gay at any time of the year, but when October rolls around, it’s lesbians galore in this seaside town. Thousands of women head to the Lower Cape for this ten-day event with parties, theatre, art exhibits, concerts and more. Book your lodging early so as not to be disappointed.
Fantasia Fair
Mid-Oct, 2010 (TBA)
"Started in 1975, “FanFair” is the oldest and longest-running gathering of transgender persons for mutual education, support, collaboration and socializing. Every year the Fair grows in its scope, character, and assistance to the gender explorer. FanFair continues to be the leading annual program promoting an individual’s ability to thrive in a real-life situation, and receive positive reinforcement and encouragement."
