This little, lesbian-run cocktail bar is the main lesbian spot in la Zona Romantica, but it’s also popular with gay men. Located on the main gay strip, Olas Altos, you can also grab a small bite here. There’s seating inside as well as a few tables on the terrace outside.

Club Mañana
If some dancing is in order during your trip, this is where you’ll do it. Mañana is a boy bar, but it’s the most popular gay dance club in town. Open seven nights a week, women are welcome but you’ll be seriously outnumbered. Open until 5 a.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. on the weekends!

Room Service (especially on Saturday nights)
Located in the space that used to be home to the infamous Balcones bar, Room Service was recently launched by a lesbian couple who’d been living in L.A. They gutted and totally re-designed the space and it looks beautiful! Right now they’re trying to run this as a mixed gay bar with a lesbian night on Saturdays. This is the only dedicated lesbian party in PV at the moment, so let’s hope it succeeds.

Uncommon Grounds Buddha Bar
Run by a lesbian couple from New Jersey, Uncommon Grounds is definitely unusual for Puerto Vallarta. Part lounge, part restaurant, part aromatherapy bar, part gift shop, it’s a multi-sensory experience. Located a fair distance from the Zona Romantica, you may want to take a taxi there. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
