Bibi Love
San Francisco's queer Middle Eastern party. Bibi Love only happens once every couple of months, but it is extremely popular with both gay men and lesbians. What's especially great about this popular event is that it run entirely by volunteers and all profits go to charity. Check their Myspace page for upcoming events.
Booty (usually every Friday at Space 550)
Fairly regular gay and lesbian hip-hop party, and boys and girls actually play well together here. One important note, this is not the same party as Bootie, a monthly mashup bootleg dance party also happening in San Francisco.

Did not happen Friday, Dec. 19th. No notice of cancellation, just no one there. Need more up to date info on sudden changes like this!

Club La Zeez
La Zeez is an LGBT Middle-Eastern themed party that is based on Los Angeles, but occasionally takes place in San Francisco. Here it's all about the music: Latin, Mediterranean, South Asian, Indian, and Middle Eastern, with male and female exotic belly dancers to get you inspired.
Cockblock (2nd Saturday of the month at Rickshaw Stop)
Admittedly, with a name like that one you may not be thinking "yeahhh, that's where all the girls are!", but you'd be totally wrong. Cockblock is mainly a lesbian party (about 95% women) that is big on the dance music, be it hip hop, or 80s and 90s favorites.

I first heard about this last summer, and I started going here with my friends. It's an awesome club!!! Many hot girls, age ranges from 21-35 typically. Everytime I come here I am always having a blast and a good drunk night. Strong drinks, cheap cover (typically $5 or $7) compared to other clubs. Most of the nights are pretty crowded. Mostly white crowd, few asians. Many hip girls. Another event to check out for is Rebel Girl at the same venue!!

Cream SF
These ladies host a ton of events throughout the Bay Area, especially early evening happy hours and T-Dances. Things change pretty frequently for their parties though, so check their website for upcoming events.
Drift
For alternative girls tired of hip hop and pop, here’s Drift with house music, electronica and techno. This used to be a monthly event, but is now only an occasional one-off, so check their MySpace page to see if they have any upcoming events.

The night I went here in the summer, I don't know if it was a bad night, or what, but there was almost no people at all. And the music was horrible. The crowd is kind of old, about 30's, and the type of dance is a mellow house. Free cover before 11pm and $5, I think, to get in after. Not quite fun.. I would definitely try again to see how it goes next time though.

El Rio
Cool and crazy lesbian-run live music joint that brings in every type from straight rocker boy to diesel dyke. Lesbian parties are often hosted here as well, but it's worth dropping by just to soak in the vibe on any day of the week.

Electric Feel (Thursdays at Lookout)
The only indie music dance party in the Castro (think Little Boots, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, La Roux etc.), Electric Feel brings in more boys than girls, but it's still a great night if you like the music.

Fem (1st Sunday of the month at Harlot)
New monthly t-dance that's going for a sexy, femmey crowd. Harlot is a beautiful spot for this loungey, yet dancey party and you can head over after your very late brunch. The party starts at 3 p.m. and ends at about 10ish.

Flourish (3rd Friday of the month at Paradise Lounge)
If you're looking for a slightly more upscale gay girl party in San Fran, then head on out to Flourish. This monthly event is held in a great space, the Paradise Lounge, that feels kinda luxe but still doesn't break the bank. It's also nice because there are separate lounge and dance floor spaces so you can get your groove on or go off to a corner and chat with that cute girl you've just met.

Gemini Disco Club (1st Saturday of the month at Underground SF)
A pansexual, flamboyant, women-hosted, over-the-top disco party to pump up your weekend.

GLAM Ladies' Night (Thursdays at Medjool)
A super-popular event that has been running for years, but only recently moved to Medjool. What's especially nice about this evening is that it starts early, which is most helpful for a Thursday night when you have to work on Friday. As of 7ish you'll see all the ladies filing in for a great evening.

During our visit to San Francisco, we had an amazing time at this event at Orson. Highly recommended.

Grrlz (Tuesdays at QBar)
QBar is an amazing boy bar, but on Tuesday night it's all about the ladies. A great night out in the Castro.

Heartbreak (3rd of the month at the Cat Club)
The latest women's party to be hosted at the infamous Cat Club! Cheaper entrance before 11 p.m. and drinks are 2-for-1 then too! Count on lots of hot dancing and go-go girls.

San Francisco
Leche (Sunday afternoons at Trigger Ultra Lounge)
Right now this is the hottest women's T-Dance in town. Taking place in the heart of the Castro each week, more than 500 women pack the joint to meet ladies and dance to the latest Latin and hip hop tunes.

Lexington Club
Believe it or not, this is San Francisco's only lesbian-owned-and-operated bar. Thankfully it’s at least open every night of the week! It’s important to remember that this is a bar, not a club. That means no dancing, though it can still get pretty crowded on the weekends. Being the only full-time dyke bar in town, the Lexington pulls in quite the variety of ladies, from butches to riot grrlz to femmes to hipsters.

I was recommended this club by a friend. So, while I was visiting San Francisco I decided to stop in (I'm from Canada) with my friend from Japan. Well, first when I walked through the door they asked for my ID. I said my ID is Canadian (drivers license) and they joked "your not American, ha ha, see ya'. I laughed along too, slightly uncomforatbly. But, when my friend's turn came to check her ID she produced her Japanese drivers liscence and they wouldn't let her in. My friend was in her 30's, but because her liscence was Japanese and the year was based on the Japanese calanedar they wouldn't let her in. They stated loudly: "You should have your pasport with you" (ironic, because they hadn't told me I needed mine when they checked my Canadian ID). Even one of the customers piped up loudly "Yeah, you shoudl carry your pasport". Both me and my friend didn't argue, but we felt pretty shocked and affronted. This was our first night in San Francisco. So, if you want to go to this bar and you are not American, carry your passport or don't go.

Rebel Girl
Once upon a time these girls hosted the hottest monthly dance party for ladies into indie and electro music. Sadly, their regular gigs are gone, but they still hold occasional parties that are always eagerly awaited.

Attended Rebel Girl during my visit to SF. Really fun! Excellent music too. Mostly women in their 20s and 30s.

One of the best les parties in SF! Guaranteed fun, look at my review for Cockblock. $7 dollar cover and stiff drinks. Anything happening at the Rickshaw is great fun. Small venue, but has a smoking lounge and upstairs floor.

Stray Bar
It's sort of a lesbian bar, and sort of not. This lesbian-owned establishment welcomes all, but as you can imagine, attracts a strong lesbian contingent. It's a neighbourhood bar kind of place, so it can get pretty low key at times, especially on weeknights.

Wild Side West
While this isn’t “officially” a lesbian bar, this Bernal Heights hangout sure has a lot of lesbians who go there. Designed in an old Western style, they’ve got dykes playing guitars, a big back yard patio area and cheap, strong drinks.
