All Men Are Evil Except My Girlfriend (2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at the Stud)
"We are San Francisco's one and only queerpunk club for riot grrls, queers and their dears, punks and punkettes, misfits of all kinds, and the related ilk of revolutionaries. Every week there are at least 2 guest bands guaranteed to twist yr panties."

Bibi Love
San Francisco's queer Middle Eastern party. Bibi Love only happens once every couple of months, but it is extremely popular with both gay men and lesbians. What's especially great about this popular event is that it run entirely by volunteers and all profits go to charity. Check their Myspace page for upcoming events.
Booty (every Friday at Space 550)
Fairly regular gay and lesbian hip-hop party, and boys and girls actually play well together here. One important note, this is not the same party as Bootie, a monthly mashup bootleg dance party also happening in San Francisco.

Canela Tea-Dance (3rd Sunday of the month at the Glas Kat)
This is a brand-new women's t-dance launched in June, 2008. Glas Kat is a bit of an unusual choice of location since it's usually a straight nightclub and restaurant that serves Hawaiian fusion cuisine, but let's see how it goes. If you've been, please leave a comment and let us know what it's like. The party goes from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. and you can expect lots of Latin beats, Latin House and Old School.

Chez Badunkadunk (1st Saturday of the month upstairs from Basil)
“Awesome evenings of enchanting, provocative, gorgeous dancing girls gyrating, teasing, seducing and grinding their way into your hearts and more at the exclusive, intimate, wild and swanky club featuring: The Lusty Ladies, The Black Widows, Burlesque, Strippers, Lap Dancing, Fan Dancing, Pole Dancing, 2 for 1 dances and Dollar Dance Specials.” Ummm…. sign me up! The ladies have recently moved (they used to be across the street at Cat Club), and there's a chance they'll move again soon, so verify the address on their MySpace page.

Chick Night (last Wednesday of the month at Truck)
Truck is basically a boy bar with parties like the "Cock-tail Gate", but on the last Wednesday of the month they've decided to throw the towel into the girl party ring with their Chick Night. It only launched in April, 2008, so we'll have to see how things fare. If anybody has checked it out, please let us know what you think!

Club La Zeez
La Zeez is an LGBT Middle-Eastern themed party that is based on Los Angeles, but occasionally takes place in San Francisco. Here it's all about the music: Latin, Mediterranean, South Asian, Indian, and Middle Eastern, with male and female exotic belly dancers to get you inspired.
Cockblock (2nd Saturday of the month at Rickshaw Stop)
Admittedly, with a name like that one you may not be thinking "yeahhh, that's where all the girls are!", but you'd be totally wrong. Cockblock is mainly a lesbian party (about 95% women) that is big on the dance music, be it hip hop, or 80s and 90s favorites.

El Rio
Cool and crazy lesbian-run live music joint that brings in every type from straight rocker boy to diesel dyke. Lesbian parties are often hosted here as well, but it's worth dropping by just to soak in the vibe on any day of the week. This is also where the monthly "Mango" T-dance (see below) takes place.

Fem (1st Sunday of the month at Harlot)
New monthly t-dance that's going for a sexy, femmey crowd. Harlot is a beautiful spot for this loungey, yet dancey party and you can head over after your very late brunch. The party starts at 3 p.m. and ends at about 10ish.

Jump Off (2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at the Stud)
Twice a month you'll be able to get down to urban hip hop at this new night for gay guys and girls. Hosted by resident DJ Ms. Jackson, this party is a real attempt to bring queer men and women together for a good time.

Lexington Club
Believe it or not, this is San Francisco's only lesbian-owned-and-operated bar. Thankfully it’s at least open every night of the week! It’s important to remember that this is a bar, not a club. That means no dancing, though it can still get pretty crowded on the weekends. Being the only full-time dyke bar in town, the Lexington pulls in quite the variety of ladies, from butches to riot grrlz to femmes to hipsters.

Mango (4th Saturday afternoon of the month at El Rio)
Presented by Kiss My Black Ass Productions, Mango is a jumping fest of hiphop, dancehall, salsa, merengue, samba and raggaeton. This is a T-dance ladies, so it gets underway early (as of 3 p.m.) and is especially busy on sunny days.

Martini Wednesdays (Wednesdays at the Cafe)
If you're looking for a mid-week party in the heart of the Castro, here it is! Martini Wednesdays had initially launched in June 2007, but liquor license problems forced the party to shut down. By May 2008, all the legal woes were solved and the party is back on! With free pool all night long, go-go dancers and hot tunes, it should be a great hump day event.

Psych!!!

Rebel Girl (every 4th Saturday at Rickshaw Stop)
The big dance party for indie and electro grrlz. This party gets started a bit late, but once it takes off it’s a ride.

Respect (2nd Sundy of the month at Rouge)
This long-running monthly T-dance is hosted by one of the better known lesbian DJs in the San Francisco area, DJ Page Hodel. Seeing as it is a T-dance, the party starts earlier as of 4:00 p.m. and ends by 9ish so the working girls can still get enough beauty sleep before hitting work on Monday. The crowd is quite varied as well, with women in their mid-20s to their 60s.

Stay Gold (last Wednesday of the month at the Make-Out Room)
“Calling all pretty young things for a queer night of solid gold dance moves and white hott cruising!!! Calling all gayways, sissies, nerd alerts, femmes, butches, queers, trannies, homos, lezzies, bois, nancies, nellys, ladies and other dancedance revolutionaries..."

Stray Bar
It's sort of a lesbian bar, and sort of not. This lesbian-owned establishment welcomes all, but as you can imagine, attracts a strong lesbian contingent. It's a neighbourhood bar kind of place, so it can get pretty low key at times, especially on weeknights.
