Korea Queer Culture Festival

Early Jun, 2009 (TBA)

Annual, ten-dayfestival that examines queer culture in all its forms: panel discussions, public speakers, parties, and finishing it off with a gay pride street parade. What’s especially great about this event is that they totally make an effort to include lesbians and in 2007 they held events in six different lesbian bars. Their website has a great English section to boot.

Seoul LGBT Film Festival

Early Jun, 2009 (TBA)

This used to be part of the Queer Korea Culture Festival, but in 2007, organizers decided to split the two so appropriate attention could be focused on each particular event. They’ve given themselves the acronym of “SeLFF” as in “express yourself.”
