A very popular spot for Friday night clubbing. It’s a real mix of gays, lesbians and the odd straight person who totally wants to dance. Since there aren’t many late night clubbing spots for women, you’ll usually find a lot of ladies here. The club is huge with three separate dance floors.

These one-off events all over Scandinavia and Germany are pure queer pleasure in the form of electro, riot, hip hop, nu rave & queerpunk. These parties are organized by the lesbian DJ duo, DJ Combustion, who are based in Stockholm, but they travel all over the place.

One of the rare, lesbian, late-night clubbing events in Stockholm. Go-go girls, great DJs and it’s a total party! There’s a fairly pricey entrance fee, but you can buy advance, reduced-price tickets at Torget (see below).

Judy’s (Fridays and Saturdays)
A super-cool basement bar run by the ladies from Roxy, located just around the corner and downstairs from the aforementioned resto-bar. It’s a total underground scene with performance, live music, dancing, drinking… you’ll find it all here. It can get very hot in summertime and it’s a bit tough to find since there’s no sign on the door, but take your chances and you’ll end up hanging with locals in one of the hippest spots in town.

Run by the fabulous Lenora, this drag queen/transgender/queer party is a happening party that is especially popular with people aged 40-60. It may be for the slightly older crowd, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great spot to check out no matter what your age, because it is! Visit the website for upcoming dates.

Lesbian-owned Momma is definitely one of my favorite spots in Stockholm for dinner, but on Friday nights it goes that extra step to become a popular lesbian lounge night. The party starts at about 9ish and continues on through the evening. Reserve a table for dinner to start the night.

This is where you go if you want to dance on a Saturday night. Yes there’s more men, but you’ll definitely find lesbians there as well. One important note though, you have to be 23 to get in.

This outdoors, waterfront oasis became one of my favorite places to enjoy a meal and drink when I saw the speedboat with three Swedish hotties arrive. They just tied up their boat, climbed onto the patio and ordered their drinks. Seriously. It’s a mixed gay crowd all the time, serving lunch, dinner and cocktails. Considering the Swedish climate, this lovely spot can only be enjoyed during the summer months.

Queer-owned Morfar Ginko/Pappa Ray Ray is part café, part bar. Pappa Ray Ray serves up food throughout the day and the Morfar Ginko side is a great place for drinks. Both are popular with local lesbians.

Patricia (Sundays)
A true Stockholm institution,this old military vessel docked off of Södermalm island is the place to be on Sundays. Start off with a meal at their restaurant (but book your table a month ahead or you won’t get a seat), then follow up the food with lots of drinking, dancing and drag queens! It’s open every night of the week, but Sundays are the gay night. There’s way more men than women, but it’s still an excellent adventure.

A lesbian-owned spot that is super-popular not only for their restaurant side (see the restaurant section), but also for their lounge/bar side. Much beloved by femmey ladies, Roxy is packed on the weekends, but is also a great place to drop by during the week. The owners also run the amazing underground bar, Judy’s, located just around the corner (see above).

This is officially a “resto-bar” popular with both gay men and lesbians, but it’s extremely popular for a late night drink, especially when there’s no special women’s events on. This is also the place where you can pick up advance tickets for the monthly Gina Girls Club party (see above).
