An alternative, lesbian-owned and operated “feminist” café located down by the water near Hornstull. Copacabana offers a mostly vegetarian menu with great sandwiches, coffee, smoothies and deserts. Eat inside or grab a chair outside with a great view of the waterfront and all the cute passers by. Here you can pick up copies of the local queer magazine QX as well as their English language LGBT visitors map.

A great spot to relax and enjoy a light meal. Located in a cozy, yet spacious cellar vault from the mid-18th century, Café Mineur serves up healthy sandwiches, salads, snacks, smoothies and coffee made from fair trade and organic ingrediants. Located in one of the most popular squares of the old town, Gamla Stan, you can’t miss this gay-owned café thanks to the rainbow flag flying over the outdoor seating area. Since it’s in one of the most touristy spots in Stockholm, it welcomes an interesting mix of cute gay boys and girls mixed with tourists who have no idea it’s a gay spot. Try the hot chocolate.

There aren’t a ton of exclusively vegetarian restaurants in Stockholm, and this is one of the best for both the food and its gorgeous waterfront location. Hermans offers a great, all-you-can eat buffet for a totally fair price. Good food + good price = very busy in pricey Stockholm.

Mälarpaviljongen (especially on Wednesdays)
One of my favorite spots in Stockholm, this waterfront, outdoor café is located along the Riddarfjärden shore. It’s a mixed gay spot that serves both lunch and dinner and is also a cocktail bar. You’ll see more women there on Wednesday nights for their weekly ladies night. Since it’s an outdoor café, Mälarpaviljongen is only open during the warmer months.

Momma
An excellent lesbian owned and operated restaurant-bar that serves up modern takes on Swedish cuisine in the bohemian-cool SoFo area of Södermalm. A slightly upscale spot, Momma has a great wine list and desserts as well. A great place to visit any night of the week or for weekend brunch, Momma is especially popular with lesbians on Fridays for their Lezzie Friday party. A do-not-miss spot while visiting Stockholm.

Roxy
Another fabulous lesbian-owned and operated spot that is part restaurant, part cocktail bar. Inspired by the Spanish filmmaker Almodóvar, Roxy offers upcale, Latin inspired cuisine and great tapas. Women often come here for dinner, and when they’re done they head over to the other side for drinks. On weekend nights, the bar part can get extremely busy with very cute, femmey gals. Another must-see on any trip to Stockholm. The owners also run the amazing underground bar, Judy’s, located just around the corner (see the bar and club listings for more info on that great spot).

I was visiting Stockholm for a few days and happened upon Roxy on a Thursday night - it was a really nice place to just chill and have a drink. I met some lovely people, and was served by the most beautiful bartender - who is she??!

Yet another restaurant/bar that is quite popular with both gay men and lesbians. Fashionable queers tend to come here more for drinks, but there is a very good menu available as well.
