Events

Sydney Leather Pride

Early June, 2010 (TBA)
Even though this will always be an event primarily for men, Sydney Leather Pride does a good job of lesbian inclusion for girls who enjoy the fetish lifestyle.

Sydney Pride Festival

Late Jun, 2010 (TBA)
Even though Sydney celebrates pride each February with Mardi Gras, they've also tried to hold a pride in Australian winter, the same time as prides in Europe and North/South America.  With the closing of the Sydney's Pride Centre in 2008, this event was cancelled that year.  But it was back in 2009 and promises to return for 1010.

Aurora Annual Dinner

Late Jun, 2009 (TBA)
Aurora is a wonderful fundraising group that offers financing and bursaries to several Sydney LGBT associations each year. One of their major fundraising events is this annual dinner which is attended by more and more lesbians each year, thanks to a popular lesbian MC and lesbian entertainment.

World of Women (WOW) Film Festival

Mid-Oct, 2010 (TBA)
“A short film festival that promotes and awards the talents of women directors, producers, writers, editors and cinematographers in the Australian film industry and in Oceania.” Not necessarily lesbian, but obviously very woman positive.
