Sydney's Gay and Lesbian Field Hockey Club Association. Teams are mixed, but there is a great lesbian presence.
Bitchz On Bikes
Calling themselves a bicycle and social club for lesbians, the Bitchz organize monthly rides and host a number of parties throughout the year.
Dykes on Bikes Sydney
Same motorcycle group, different city. These dykes hold a number of rides around the Australian countryside throughout the year, and of course head up the annual Mardi Gras parade.
Flying Bats Soccer Club
Sydney’s premiere lesbian footie club, these gals have been bending it like Beckham for more than 20 years now. Even if you can’t join in on the play, it’s a great place to check out the ladies from the sidelines.
Frontrunners
The Sydney edition of this international LGBT running/jogging/walking club with runs every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Guests welcome.
Surf Chix
This lesbian surf group is the perfect outing for women in Sydney. The waves here are great, as are the beaches. Each month they host a two-day weekend surf camp and other occasional outings. Newbies are always welcome, and if you don't know how to surf, they're happy to show you the ropes.
Sydney Spokes Cycling Club
LGBT cycling club. They organise regular rides throughout the month, as well as gay Sydney tours, coffee shop crawls or weekend getaways. Visitors are most welcome.
Sydney Women’s AFL (Australia Football League)
Australian footie (that’s soccer for all of you North Americans) is slightly different from the European version of the game, but still a total blast to watch. There are seven teams in this league, so check out a game and cheer on the gals.
Sydney Women’s Baseball League
Batter up! Imagine, 10 women's baseball teams battling it out against each other every week. That’s what happens here, with games every Sunday through the winter months (April-September). If you’re looking for a whole park full of dykes, you’ll find them here.
Team Sydney
The umbrella sports association for the LGBT community. If you’re looking for info on any homo sports in town, you’ll probably find it here.
Tennis Sydney
LGBT tennis club that plays regularly each week. Visitors are most welcome to joint them and the club will help you find a partner.
Wettones
Sydney’s LGBT swimming club. An IGLA member, all affiliate members are invited to continue their training here when visiting down under.
Womberdown Tennis Group
Lesbian tennis and social club based in Sydney. The main idea behind Womberdown is to foster tennis skills while having a fun time, and newbies are always welcome. The gals meet up about once every three or four weeks. Check the website for dates and details.
