Bush Party (Sundays at the Beaver Café) — Updated
A popular, weekly girls dance night out with electro, hip hop, house, old skool, disco, new wave and dancehall. The Beaver is a popular spot for the alternative queer set for eats as well.

Cherry Bomb (2nd to last Saturday of the month at Andy Poolhall)
A regular and popular lesbian event with a whole spectrum of music: house, techno, electro, rock, reggae, rap, funk, soul and more. Cherry Bomb is hosted by resident DJ Denise Benson, with regular guest DJs taking over the turntables. Make note that this party takes place on the 2nd to last Saturday of the month, which isn't necessarily the 3rd Saturday of the month.

Goodhandy’s (especially on Friday nights)
Calling itself a “pansexual playground”, Goodhandy’s is home to TO's first backroom for Gay/Queer Women and Trans guys, with curtained off booths for privacy. Especially popular with transfolk, bois and drag kings throughout the week, Fridays are for the queer girls. At Goodhandy’s it’s part dance party, drag king/burlesque performance space and some good ‘ole hanky panky thrown in for measure.

Hump Day Bump (Wednesdays at Wrongbar) — Updated
The Hump Day party is for all homos, but there are usually a lot of women and this is when you’ll see some of Toronto’s hippest electro dykes. The party used to take place at the Gladstone hotel, but moved to these new digs in June, 2008.

Le Vag (last Thursday of the month at LeVack Block)
How many ways can we adapt words for the female anatomy and come up with the name for a new lesbian party? Le Vag shows the possibilities are limitless. Launching in May, 2008, this monthly event in the gorgeous LeVack Block is one of the rare dyke parties in Toronto's lesbian-heavy Queen west-west neighbourhood.

Pussy Palace
Great name, great party. This is women-only sex club that happens maybe once or twice a year in Toronto, usually around Pride.
Slack's Restaurant & Bar
Slack’s is an interesting spot, half restaurant, half bar. In the back part of the space, meals are served throughout the evening while the bar up front remains fairly empty. As the night progresses, the restaurant empties out and the bar space fills up, mainly with women in their 30s and 40s. While it's mainly lesbians here for the bar part, you'll still see a lot of guys here too. Great martinis, and pretty good food to boot. The weekend brunch is especially popular.

Amazing spot with music everyday of the week. The only spot for women in Toronto. Younger crowd on Friday nights.

Weekly ladies night at this resto/lounge space in the heart of the gay village. Voglie is also a good spot for an early evening drink or dinner.

straightGIRL Fridays (2nd Friday of the month at Straight Boutique Dance Bar)
When they're talking "straight" here, it's in the sense of "for girls who aren't". This is a poppin' all girl dance party at Toronto's first "boutique dance bar".... meaning great tunes in a smaller, more intimate space that's part lounge, part nightclub. This used to be a weekly event, but became monthly as of April, 2008.

Synchro (Every Friday (except for the 1st Friday of the month) at Andy Poolhall
Another Denise Benson night (see Cherry Bomb above) with disco, house, hip-hop, electro, punk, funk and more. Even though it's a popular lesbian DJ at the turntables, this is actually a mixed night open to all (though of course there will always be bent girls present.) Synchro is all about gettin' down on the dancefloor!

Tallulah's Cabaret (Fridays and Saturdays at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre)
Buddies is the local LGBT theatre. Their performances are no holds barred, as are their weekly homo dance parties at Tallulah’s Cabaret. Alternative, hard core, punk, K-Tel, top 40, you’ll find it all here, mixed in with burlesque, battles of the band and tons of tomfoolery. The hippest spot for alternative queers (both boys and girls), these weekend parties are a blast.

Tango
You’ll find Tango in the heart of the gay village as part of a complex including the popular homo boy bar Crews and a cabaret spot called Zone. Tango is your typical lesbian bar with pool tables, dance music and lotsa cold beer, and they sponsor a local dyke baseball team. On the downside, Tango is only open Thursday through Saturday. The crowd is generally on the younger side, with most gals in their 20s.

The Drake Hotel
Yes, it is a hotel, probably one of the coolest in town (even voted on of the 500 best hotels in the world by Travel and Leisure magazine), but it’s also a great spot to chill out or party, in either the “underground” or lounge spaces. The Drake is a fervent supporter of homo, underground, alternative and just about any other type of culture, so it’s always worth checking out what’s happening there while you’re in town. They even have artists in residence who create some of the most exciting work you’ll see in the city.
