Vancouver Queer Dance Classic

Western Canada's first same-sex dance competition, with country, swing and tango sections. 2007 was its inaugural year and it proved so successful they're back for 2008!
Interpride 2008

O.K., this isn’t an annual event, but it’s a huge one-off conference. Here’s what it’s all about: “With workshops, seminars and presentations, this 2008 conference will provide great networking opportunities, fantastic team building, GLBT community enhancement, social, cultural and environmental awareness. The Interpride conference will assist everyone from the individual to grass roots and regional groups in developing, marketing and hosting PRIDE events.”
Annual Women's Winter Faire

The Gay Whistler Ski Week, a week-long event taking place every February in Whistler, British Columbia (just outside of Vancouver).
Vancouver Pride

Even though the pride celebrations take place over more than a month, most of the big events take place in the last week. 2008 was their 30th anniversary and more than half a million people showed up for the party. This event grows bigger and bigger, so check out the various lesbian events and parties, as there are tons of them!
Vancouver Dyke March

Incorporated into the general pride festivities, here’s the chance for lesbians to have their own moment. Other than the actual parade, there’s outdoor parties and YUMMY: the dyke march dance.
